Chief Executive Officer
Libby Hutter has served as the Chief Executive Officer at Cedar Hills Hospital since 2013. Under her leadership, the hospital expanded its Crisis Stabilization Unit by 10 beds. Libby has a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley in Gender and Women’s Studies and Interdisciplinary Studies. Libby is currently finishing her master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Washington. When time allows, she enjoys the outdoors and spends her leisure time exploring Oregon’s network of rivers.
Chief Financial Officer
John Prehm is the Chief Financial Officer of Cedar Hills Hospital in Portland, Oregon. John joined Cedar Hills Hospital in March 2014. John graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Accounting. He has worked in the healthcare industry since 1994 and in a hospital setting since 2006. He has chosen to work in a hospital setting because he enjoys making a positive difference in patient’s lives. He enjoys anything sports related and specifically the Oregon Ducks.
Brian Esparza, MD
Dr. Brian Esparza completed both his medical education and residency training at the University Of Washington School Of Medicine. As a graduate of a top ten medical school in the country, Dr. Esparza is well trained with evidence based treatment. He currently serves as the Medical Director for Cedar Hills Hospital and Outpatient Services. Dr. Esparza has a particular interest in chemical dependency treatment and co-occurring disorders. He is a member of the American Board of Addiction Medicine and he is board certified in Psychiatry. Dr. Esparza is bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish.
Aubrie Poppleton, MA
Director, Business Development
Aubrie Poppleton has worked for Cedar Hills Hospital since 2014, currently serving as the Director of Business Development and Outreach. Aubrie completed her bachelor’s degree in Marriage, Family and Human Development with a Psychology minor at Brigham Young University. After eight years of managing and leading successful teams, Aubrie earned her MBA with a marketing focus from Marylhurst University. Aubrie oversees contracts for the facility, leads advertising and marketing, and manages the Cedar Hills Hospital Outreach team. In her downtime, Aubrie enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors on her bicycle, and volunteer work.
Director of Plant Operations
Dennis has more than 35 years of leadership and management experience, with the last five at Cedar Hills Hospital. A career military veteran, Dennis brings a diverse and expansive background in project and safety program management as well as facility operations to the Cedar Hills team. A native Oregonian, he received his bachelor’s of science degree at Eastern Oregon State University in La Grande, Oregon.
Michele Milantoni, RHIT
Manager, Health Information Management
Michele Milantoni, R.H.I.T. has worked at Cedar Hills Hospital since 2010, and has held the position of Health Information Management Program Manager for three and a half years. She is a graduate with highest honors of Davenport University in Dearborn, Michigan. Michele received associate degrees in Health Information Technology, and Health Insurance Claims Management. Her outside interests include traveling internationally and taking care of her three dogs Alli, Lexi, and Cara.
Mahala Poland, MBA
Director of Human Resources
Mahala is a focused and dynamic human resource executive with over 15 years’ experience in multiple Fortune 500 companies. She earned her Master of Business Administration from Central Michigan University. Further she earned a Bachelor Degree of Science in Human Resources Management from Davenport University. Mahala has proven success in leading human resources teams in diverse environments such as healthcare, manufacturing facilities, retail industry and oil and gas.
Associate Director of Outpatient Services
Alex Drilling, MHA has worked at Cedar Hills Hospital since 2011, having served in both coordinator and management roles with the Cedar Hills Hospital’s Outpatient Department prior to becoming the Associate Director of Outpatient Services in 2016. Alex received bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Portland State University, and his Master of healthcare administration from Walden University. As a native Oregonian and Portlander, Alex has a passion for the outdoors, spending time with his family, and rooting for the Blazers.
